Rex Care

How Rex Care works

From a focused clinical intake to ongoing prescription care, the Rex Care process happens online with support from licensed providers.

Your care journey

  1. Complete your intake

Answer a focused 5-minute clinical intake covering your health history, symptoms, medications, and goals — no waiting rooms, no small talk.

  2. A provider reviews your needs

A licensed provider reviews your intake and GeneTest profile, then builds a personalized treatment plan before you take a single pill.

  3. GeneTest, when it applies

We ship a cheek-swab kit to your door. GeneSight's CLIA-certified lab analyzes 14+ genes that affect how you process medication — results in as little as 3 days.

  4. Products delivered

Your medication ships directly to your door in discreet packaging. Automatic refills mean you never run out.

  5. Ongoing care and adjustments

Your provider checks in regularly, monitors your progress, and adjusts your plan as your needs evolve — always a message away.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get started?

Most patients complete their intake and hear back from a provider within 24–48 hours on business days. Once your plan is confirmed, your prescription ships within 1–2 business days and typically arrives in 3–5 days depending on your location.

How does the 2-minute assessment work?

You’ll answer a few clinically relevant questions about your health and goals. A licensed clinician reviews your responses to determine whether treatment may be appropriate.

Do I need to speak with a doctor?

Not always. Many members are approved based on their assessment alone. If a clinician needs more information, a brief telehealth visit may be scheduled.

Are Rex providers licensed?

Yes. All providers on the Rex platform are licensed physicians or nurse practitioners licensed in your state. We currently serve patients across all 50 US states.

No. We offer flexible plans with transparent pricing. You stay in control of your care at every step.

Does Rex work with insurance? What about HSA/FSA?

Rex does not bill insurance directly — this keeps your care free from prior-authorization delays, coverage denials, and surprise bills. You pay only for your medication — provider review, secure messaging, and medication management are included, with no separate fees. Payments are processed by our telehealth platform partner, which may accept HSA- and FSA-linked cards — check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility for your medication. We also provide itemized receipts after each payment that you can submit to your insurance plan for potential out-of-network reimbursement — though reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.
